Team Building
Do you want to take employee volunteering one step further ?
Well, a Charity Team Building event may be the answer!
For many years now companies have organised staff away days, volunteering days, community support days. These have often focussed on the classic ‘Conservation Day’, where a group will roll their sleeves up and help a Charity to carry out some conservation tasks on a wildlife site, and whilst usually being quite unstructured, have been of benefit to the Charity and hugely enjoyed by those taking part.
Team Building and Corporate Social Responsibility
Due to the rise in Corporate Social Responsibility – CSR – many companies are looking to take this original concept one step further and to use these sessions to undertake some basic Team Building. After all, if your staff are spending a day out of the office, it might as well be used to strengthen your team dynamic whilst also making an important contribution to the community!
How does the Team Build work ?
A KliC4 Training Team Build can be organised for teams of almost any size – depending of course on where and when you want to carry out your event.
Each Charity project is tailored to meet your company needs, but will be a ‘live’ project that will really benefit the Charity taking part. These projects provide light facilitation and are delivered to a generic team building format and typically contain three separate elements as follows:
Pre-Project
1-2 weeks before the project date and sent to client
- Full Charity information
- Detailed project information
The Project
- Practical project with selected Charity
- Project design and set up
- Project materials, tools, equipment etc
- Facilitation based on a ration of 1:10 or 1:20 depending on project
- Photographic record of the day's activities
- Charity project staff in attendance
- Refreshments
Post-Project
2-3 weeks after completion of the project and sent to the client
- General feedback from facilitators and the Charity
- Photographs or film of the event
Team Building - the Benefits
Team Building through Charity projects lead to numerous benefits to the company, the Charity and the community. Individuals taking part will benefit by:
- Exploring team dynamics
- Developing a fresh approach to problem solving
- Improving communication
- Enhancing self development
- Increasing motivation and company loyalty
- Being an active citizen
